Our excellent schools play an important role in our community. I strongly support excellence in education. My children attended public school in Saratoga and graduated from Saratoga High School. I served on the School Site Council of Saratoga High School for two years and ran for the Los Gatos-Saratoga Union High School Board in 2008. I believe that we can maintain the excellent standards we have established for our schools without raising taxes. Our Grand Jury and the U.S. Secretary of Education have pointed out areas where taxpayer money is spent unproductively. Rather than raising our taxes, unproductive spending must be addressed.
